Join us for the first LES B&I networking event of 2026 on the 15th of January!
Gather with other licensing professionals to hear from Laura Wright and Rebecca Keating, barristers of 4 Pump Court and authors of ‘A Practical Guide to Quantum Computing and the Law’.
Laura and Rebecca will provide an introduction to quantum computing and the challenges and opportunities it presents. Topics will include:
- • the current state of quantum technology
- ○its implications for contract law (and licensing)
- • intellectual property
- • data protection
- • how to prepare for and navigate disputes that may arise in this rapidly evolving field.
Drawing on lessons from recent developments, the discussion will focus on how to stay ahead in this transformative area of technology.
We’ll then open the floor to questions from attendees, moderated by LES B&I member, David Holt (Partner, Potter Clarkson), before enjoying drinks and canapes together.
As the session will include an introduction, no prior knowledge of quantum computing is required!
