Since its foundation more than fifty years ago, LESI has emerged as the leading expert global forum dedicated to the commercialisation of intellectual property rights whether from licensing, technology transfers or other forms of exploitation. LESI’s reach is broad and its membership comprises of companies and individuals from the professional, the academic, the private and the public sectors – indeed, any who are interested in learning more about the strategic goals and challenges of innovative businesses.

Many of the members work in house and thus have up to date direct experience about how best to gain value from intellectual property. For example, most, if not all of the top USA pharmaceutical companies are members of LESI. Through its association with LESI, LES B&I offers its members on a local, regional and international basis through periodic publications such as Les Nouvelles as well as conferences and a series of both remote and networking meetings run across the year, a comprehensive and relevant education programme for enhancing the understanding of how to achieve value from intellectual property. LES B&I also has an active young members group as well as access to annual global reports about royalties and other aspects of licensing, LES B&I provides a unique environment for meeting and sharing experiences with licensing professionals from a wide range of backgrounds, from legal advisers to hands-on technologists.
