Why Cyber Attacks are a Business Risk not an IT Problem: The Growing Business of IP Theft, CPD Webinar (1hr)

Thursday, June 2, 2016 12:30pm – 13:30pm

With the cost of cyber crime on the rise, businesses need to open their eyes to the increasing risk to UK businesses. Globally Cyber Crime is believed to be costing in the region of $3 trillion per year with online fraud accounting for up to half and according to the City of London Police, cyber crime is worth more than the illegal drugs trade in the UK.

The lack of awareness and accountability among top management in UK businesses, is leaving them exposed to attacks and demands a change of culture in how businesses protect their assets.

In this webinar Andrew Beckett, Managing Director with Kroll will discuss:

  • The costs of cyber-crime to UK business and why criminals are going on-line to steal IP
  • Types of cyber-attack that are prevalent in the UK (and indeed most of the developed world)
  • Likely targets for hackers and
  • What companies can do to defend against attacks

Speaker: Andrew Beckett – Managing Director, Cyber and Investigations at Kroll
